We have set up a large model of a tree, a gift tree, in the hallway between the different departments at the office. The tree works as a collector of thank you notes and signs of appreciation. Employees hang small notes to named coworkers, in the tree where they thank each other for extra effort, positive behavior and caring. By using the tree, the thank you is pointed out to the whole organization. After a while the notes are taken down and given to the person who has been thanked.
